Hi, my name is Brian McGahey. I have been in the equipment industry for the last 27 years. I started off in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Constellation where I was shop foreman responsible for over five hundred (500) plus pieces of equipment. I then held service management and technician positions servicing heavy equipment and later was Vice President and General Manager of an equipment dealership with four stores in the Oklahoma City area. I think it is safe to say I am an equipment fanatic.
A few years back I noticed that many people were coming to me asking what their equipment was worth. One had just gone through a divorce and needed to understand a fair market value of his equipment fleet. Another was a friend who needed to understand if he actually had equity in his equipment, so he could refinance and utilize the equity as collateral to assist his businesses short term financial needs.
I looked around the industry and noticed there weren't that many unbiased appraisers. Oh there were appraisers, don't get me wrong. But they all worked for auction houses or other establishments that had a vested interest in buying equipment for a low price and reselling it for a higher price. Having been in the industry so long, I knew there was a need for honest, unbiased, appraisals of equipment. Someone who could provide peace-of-mind and report the facts.
But I couldn't find anyone, so I decided to become that person. I became a federally certified USPAP appraiser and now I help people and companies in all different situations determine the true value of their equipment assets. The sad truth is most people don't know what their equipment is worth, especially in today's economy when sale prices have decreased and credit terms have increased. I help them figure that out. So how can I help you? Well if you are reading this page it is probably because you have equipment and you need to know its fair market value.
If that is true then here is what I can do for you:
So how do I do this? Well, first I compare each piece with no less than 3 equivalent pieces. And by equivalent I mean equipment that has the same features and specifications, not just the same model. The features of the equipment often dramatically change the price. I offer the opportunity to personally review the equipment and do research on the back end to take those features into account. I then look at the history of the equipment, look at the wear-and-tear, look at how it has been maintained. And all of this comes together to give each piece of equipment its own unique fair market valuation. When I am done I provide you a USPAP federally certified appraisal report that provides proof to anybody who asks what your equipment is worth.
If you said yes, Then I can help. Use the form below to give me your name, address, email, phone number, and best time for me to contact you. Unless it is the dead of night I guarantee I will get back to you within 7 hours. Then you and I can have a conversation and talk about your situation.
P.S. Whether your are a business with a fleet of equipment or an individual with a single piece, I can help you figure out exactly what your equipment assets are worth in today's economy.
